GENERAL

 

Our data protection practices comply with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

SEA Yachting Tools stores your address data for its own advertising purposes and will not disclose it to third parties. Furthermore, we will only store and process your personal data for the purpose of processing the order.

In order to process and deliver your order, we will only pass your data on to the delivery service responsible for delivery.

Upon request, we will provide you with information free of charge about the data stored about your person or pseudonym. If you wish, please send a message to k.aubele@seayachtingtools.de. Likewise, we are obliged to correct, block, or delete the data stored about you upon request.

Sending a newsletter with current offers.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to the storage of your inventory data such as email address, first name, last name, and gender. Your data will then be processed based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.

The newsletter can be unsubscribed at any time using a form under the "Newsletter" menu. Additionally, every newsletter sent by SEA Yachting Tools includes an "Unsubscribe" button. You can also simply send us a corresponding message to k.aubele@seayachtingtools.de.

If you wish to delete your customer account, please send an email to: k.aubele@seayachtingtools.de requesting deletion of your account.

 

DATA COLLECTION

 

We require your address and contact details to process your order. Additionally, we need your date of birth to differentiate you from other customers with the same name.

Furthermore, your visit to our website is logged. The following data is processed: name of the accessed webpage, date and time of access, transmitted data volume, browser type and version, the operating system used by the user, the referrer URL (the previously visited page), your IP address, and the requesting provider. We collect this data based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.

If you contact us via our contact form or by email, your details, name, first name, email address, and your message, will be processed solely for the purpose of handling and processing your request. We process this data based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.

Additionally, we process your name, address, date of birth, email address, order data, and payment information for the purpose of contract fulfillment. We process this data based on Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR for the fulfillment of the contract.

If necessary for the processing of your order, we will pass on your name, address, and possibly your telephone number to the company responsible for delivery to coordinate a delivery date. Your payment data will be passed on to the credit institution responsible for payment. We process this data based on Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR for the fulfillment of the contract.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address, and - if we have received this additional information from you in the course of the contractual relationship - your title, academic degree, year of birth, and your professional, industry, or business designation in summarized lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g., for sending interesting offers and information about our products by postal mail. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

There is no data transfer to third countries.

 

STORAGE OF ACCESS DATA IN SERVER LOG FILES

 

For protection against external access, we store so-called server log files in the format: IP address, date and time, URL, status code, referrer, and user agent. These data are evaluated exclusively to ensure smooth operation of the site and to improve our offer and do not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.

 

STORAGE DURATION OF PERSONAL DATA

 

Where necessary, we process and store your personal data for the duration of our business relationship. In addition, we are subject to various retention and documentation obligations, which result, among other things, from the Commercial Code (HGB) and the Fiscal Code (AO). The deadlines prescribed there for storage or documentation are two to ten years.

Furthermore, the storage period is also determined by statutory limitation periods, which, for example, according to §§ 195 ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB), are usually three years, but in certain cases can be up to thirty years.

 

COOKIES

 

A "cookie" is a small text file that we transfer to your computer when you visit our site. A cookie can only contain information that we send to your computer ourselves - it cannot read private data.
